What is Pocket Legends?

Pocket Legends is the world’s largest mobile MMORPG with over one million downloads! The first and most popular of its kind, everyone plays in the same persistent world. In game, you’ll create an Avian, Elf, or Ursan and explore vast dungeons, dark forests, and wind-swept deserts for adventure!

What Is an MMORPG?

MMORPG stands for “massively multiplayer online role-playing game.” In an MMORPG, thousands (or millions!) of players exist in the same game world at the same time. This creates an incredibly rich and active environment in which interesting things are always taking place.

Is Pocket Legends Free?

Pocket Legends is a free to play game, however, purchasing platinum allows you to buy additional adventure areas, equipment, and items through the in-game store that will enhance your experience. For example, speed and damage elixirs make your character faster and more powerful. There may be times where you will want to have the extra advantages elixirs can bring. You can also purchase special equipment and vanity items such as costumes to differentiate the way you look from other players.

How Do I Earn Free Platinum?

Please make sure you are using the following steps exactly when attempting to earn platinum via Tapjoy :

  • With a strong internet connection.
  • In the Pocket Legends app, select the Free Platinum button at character selection.
  • Select the Earn Platinum button on the prompt.
  • Select the desired app you wish to download from the list provided.
  • Android users select Market
  • You will be taken to the iTunes or Android info info page of the app selected.
  • Select Free (price) and OK or Install.
  • iTunes users must submit their password when prompted.
  • App will download and install
  • Open the downloaded app and allow it time to load up fully.
  • In 5 minutes start/restart the pocket legends app.

Any deviation from these steps make cause your free platinum attempt to fail. If you have problems with your free platinum, please email mobilehelp@tapjoy.com.

Is There a Monthly Fee to Play the Game?

No, there is no subscription required to play Pocket Legends though there are small micro-transactions required to access later game content. With the current content in version 1.7, purchasing the $19.95 USD Platinum package will allow you to buy all adventure areas and have plenty of Platinum to spend on items and other things.

Can I Use My Pocket Legends Account Across Multiple Devices?

Yes, you can play Pocket Legends on the same account with all of your friends on iPod/iPad/iPhone and many Android devices provided you have registered your account.

Are There Versions of Pocket Legends for Mac or PC?

Not at this time, though these clients are in the works!

If I Experience Lag…

If you notice a high ping, you may have an unstable internet connection. First, try playing on 3G. If you have no further issues, but do with WiFi, try another internet connection. Some other issues that might be contributing to the problem are:

  • Email pushes enabled
  • Other applications that require network access
  • Other applications running simultaneously
  • Poor network connection
  • Incorrectly configured router

If I Have Trouble Installing or Updating the Game on My Android…

There may be an issue with your Market app or installation to your SD Card. Try the following:

  • Uninstall Pocket Legends
  • Unmount your SD Card
  • Clear your Marketplace cache and data in your applications manager
  • Install Pocket Legends
  • Remount the SD Card
  • Then move Pocket Legends back to the SD Card (if you want)

Some devices fail to install large apps directly to SD Card.

Alternatively

Find the .android_secure directory on the sdcard and remove the ‘smdl2tmp1.asec’ file. You can either do this by mounting the sdcard on a computer, or with a file manager app.

If I Can’t Purchase Platinum…

Android Users – Some mobile browsers do not work correctly when attempting to purchase Platinum. If this is the case for you we recommend trying from a PC.

If I Am Banned…

A ban may be permanent or temporary. If the ban is permanent, you will not be able to return to Pocket Legends for violating our Terms of Service. If the ban is temporary, you will be able to return to the game after the ban has lifted and your account will be flagged for regular review.
